Random Email Interview number 3 – Chris Spooner
With lucky numbers
6, 14, 11, 9, 8, 10, 12, 20, 17 and 4
First things first describe yourself in a tweet – 140 characters – Go!
I’m Chris Spooner, a creative Designer and avid Blogger who’s generally crazy about pretty colours and shapes.
Now on with the questions.
(Question 6) – What’s your favourite TV series?
As strange as it might sound, I’m currently into The Dog Whisperer! I’ve enjoyed watching it for a while, but more recently Laura and I have been making plans to add a dog to our little family, so we’ve been enjoying catching up on the various series and picking up tips from Cesar Millan – He’s the man!
(Question 14) – If you were an animal what would you be?
I suppose I’d have to say a Snow Leopard, due to their new-found coolness after being associated with the latest Apple operating system. I guess being a fan of skiing it would be cool to be an animal that hangs out on the snowy slopes all day. I’d be the first skiing Snow Leopard…
(Question 11 ) – What’s the longest you’ve been without a shower?
A year or two back I went on a couple of Mountain Biking trips to Scotland, one of which involved camping over the weekend. A weekend doesn’t sound too bad, but coupled with a day’s worth of riding down big hills it makes a refreshing shower much more enticing.
(Question 9) – What’s your favourite album?
One of my recent favourites is Brand New Eyes by Paramore. I’ve been a fan of them since their earlier days and seen them live a few times. The new album has some great tracks on it.
(Question 8 ) – What’s the best holiday you’ve ever been on?
That’s a tough one! I’ve had a good few breaks that are up there amongst the best. One that springs to mind is a skiing trip to France last year. A friend of mine was living over there at the time, and invited us down to stay at his employer’s villa over the weekend, mixed with a day of skiing in Isola2000 and Auron. Despite being a short break I really enjoyed it, and was a great introduction to skiing in France.
(Question 16) – If there was a film of you life who should play you?
Well, I’ve been told I have a likeness to actor Alan Cumming, so I guess he would be the number one choice.
(Question 12) – What couldn’t you live without?
Nowadays I couldn’t live without the Internet. It sounds pretty sad initially, but makes sense considering my whole career and business is run online, I’m connected to many friends via the Internet, and it’s the source of almost every snippet of information I’ve ever wanted to know.
(Question 20) – What’s your drink of choice?
Being someone who’s not a big drinker of alcoholic beverages, I’ll have a Diet Pepsi please.
(Question 17) – Can you play any musical instruments? If you can’t what would you like to play?
I used to play the Piano at a young age, continuing on my Grandad and Father’s talents. Now I’d say my biggest instrumental talent is on Guitar Hero drums…
(Question 4 ) – What’s was the first computer you owned?
My first computer was an Atari 2600 – That one with the wooden panel across the front.
And the all important final question – what question do you want to add to the question bank?
Which celebrity do you look most like? – This always a fun one! I’ve been likened to Alan Cumming, as mentioned earlier, Ralf Little and Kevin Rose.
So a big thanks to Chris and as always I hope you’ve learnt something you didn’t know. You can catch up with him at Spoon Graphics where he has his well known Spoon Graphics Blog or you can read about his strange addiction to taking trips to Ikea on his personal blog www.chrisspooner.com/.
That will be your lot from random interviews until the new year when I’ll be looking for some more victims.
I like this interview format. Very creative!
Great interview Dave.
“Which celebrity do you look most like?” Great question, Chris! In my humble opinion, I look a lot like Brad Pitt. Or is it the other way around, Brad Pitt looks a lot like me? 😀
I guess it just depends who’s older Jacob and I couldn’t possibly comment on that!
Andy Clarke recently likened me to a young George Best, thankfully not the older alcohol tired George Best!
Oh I was just joking! I don’t look like him at all, haha! I hope no one takes that seriously, they’d think I’m conceited and delusional. Sarcasm doesn’t translate well on the internet.
I’ve found that sarcasm doesn’t work too well written down – It would be quite funny if people started to believe you looked like Brad Pitt just based on an off hand comment on a blog! Especially with such a Brad Pitt-esque avatar pic showing next to the comment
Another great posting with legitimate points, I’ve been a lurker here for some time but hope to be much more included in the foreseeable future.
That was a excellent post,You learn new stuff each day.
